Just re-read Patrick Lencioni’s “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team – A leadership fable”. It describes the difficult journey of an executive team of becoming a highly effective, well-functioning team.
What does such a highly effective team look like?
- They trust one another.
- They engage in unfiltered conflict around ideas.
- They commit to decisions and plans of action.
- They hold one another accountable for delivering against those plans.
- They focus on the achievement of collective results.
That’s the kind of team I like to be a part of and help create!
